Sesleria 'Brushstrokes'

Brushstrokes Moor Grass

  Buy This Plant

Description

This Sesteria hybrid first caught our eye because of its distinctive two-toned leaves. It emerged from our large Sesleria collection as an unplanned cross-pollination of unknown parents. Both silver and blue at once, like Sesleria caurulea but more subtle. The flowers stand atop tall slender stems, easily 2 feet above the foliage! In all my world travels, I've never seen such a tall flowering Sesleria.

Maintenance Advice

Cut back by 1/3-1/2 in fall or late winter. Old flowers can be cut back anytime.

Design Tips

Use Sesteria Brushstrokes in groups and masses. It's great on meadow edges and in drifts with other silver-foliaged perennials and bulbs. Useful even as a single specimen.
