Phyla nodiflora 'Tesla'
Tesla Lippia
Description
This low, traffic-tolerant groundcover makes a tight 2-3 inch tall groundcover that has showy white flowers and tiny gray clover like leaves. The leaves on the 'Tesla' Lippia are more gray than most Lippia and smaller and finer textured. It is best in full sun to part shade and tolerates a wide variety of soils.
Tesla Lippia is a great meadow accent that attracts many native pollinators! Tolerating foot traffic, it is very useful on pathways and meadow edges. A great component for natural lawns, it's extremely heat and drought-tolerant.
Our plants were collected by famous Pete Veilleux along Tesla Canyon Road near Livermore CA. Why plant some Japanese selection when you can plant a California native clone?
