Muhlenbergia dubia
Pine Muhly
Description
Muhlenbergia dubia is widely praised for its dependable gray green foliage in meadow settings. Its tidy gray foliage grows to 3 feet in dense clumps. The silvery gray slender flowers are showy and neat on the plant from summer to fall. It is drought-tolerant and grows in a wide variety of soils. Best in full sun. Plant from plugs 2-3 feet on center. Pine Muhly is best in dry summer climates and would need excellent drainage in the Pacific Northwest.
