Falkia repens
Little Ears
Description
This low growing South African groundcover is a great filler and meadow sweetener in meadows large and small. It grows 2-4 inches tall with rounded glossy green leaves that are covered with white to pinkish white flowers spring throughout the summer. The flowers, about the size of a quarter are like tiny morning glories.
Falkia grows in sun or light shade and is moderately drought-tolerant. It works great on meadow edges, along pathways between stepping stones and spilling over rocks, and in containers as well. Our plants came from legendary plantsman Gary Hammer, We love and miss you man!
